I am a sea sick person. I do not like water activities. My husband and my daughter decided to do the paddle board in the night. I decided to be relaxing in the hotel by myself. Amanda, the manager of the company gave me the idea to be in the kayak while my husband and my daughter were on the paddle board. I really had a great time. I will always say thank you to Amanda for encouraging me and giving me all the support that I needed to experience this unique opportunity.

We just did a paddle board lesson on the Yampa with Danny and could not be happier. It turned out to be a cold day and he was very accommodating in offering options to make us more comfortable, including wetsuits. Out on the river his instruction was clear, he gave us plenty of support and time to practice, and he was always watching to be sure we were safe. We had a blast and will definitely come back again! Stand Up Paddleboarding, SUP, has become very popular over the last several years because a person can do it almost anywhere. It’s great for exercise and touring on flat water. It’s super exciting to take to the ocean and surf or even just paddle beyond the break. And my favorite, taking it down to the river, running rapids or surfing the play waves. Any way you slice it, there’s a part of the sport for everyone. We’ve been in the outfitting business for 13 years. Paddleboard Adventure Company is a permitted outfitter on several water ways around Steamboat and the Western Slope. As the lead instructor, I have obtained my Wilderness First Responder, my Swiftwater Rescue, and my Level 3 ACA Paddleboard certification.
