Paddleboards and Duckys

Paddleboarding on the Yampa River, or any river, is an adventure requiring some balance. Yes, you can just sit on the board and the let the current and the whitewater take you down the river, but what's the fun in that? Paddleboarding a river takes some practice and some know-how of proper stances and paddle strokes to make it from just floating down the river, to actually paddling the river. Now, our duckys (inflatable kayaks) are more geared to just floating. With a ducky, you still have a paddle and have lots of control, but you're sitting and the rush of getting water splashed in your face paddling through waves makes for an amazing adventure.
Paddling on a lake is more of the chill, namaste vibe. Bring that furry friend or a cooler, maybe a rod and just lose time as you paddle away from shore. On a lake, paddle and explore at your pace, no current pushing you. Let the breeze push you across the lake withoug dipping your paddle blade. Just know when that breeze becomes a stronger wind, you will have to paddle back upwind which makes the hard kayaks a little better for those breezier days. Kayaks are also great for bringing that rod for fishing, or grab a tandem kayak and go paddle with a friends or favorite family member.
